Where do you store your jewelry?

Filed under: Jewelry, Questions — Sarah @ 12:23 pm

Where do you store your jewelry?

Right now my bracelets and rings are in a jewelry box that I was given as a gift, and my necklaces are still in the boxes they came in.

I’ve been seeing lots of jewelry chests lately, and since I’ve still got a lot of my baby girl’s stuff in my chest where I store my jewelry, I’ve been thinking that I need to figure out a better way of storing them pretty soon.

Even before I started sharing my space, I occasionally had trouble finding the necklaces I wanted to wear, although to be honest, rearranging stuff so I could fit diapers in the chest made it easier to find things.

Of course now that I can find them, I don’t feel comfortable wearing them because I’m scared the baby is going to pull on them and break them!

I’ve always been scared of the ring trees, because I am scared that if the rings are touching each other they’ll all get scratched.

Where do you store your necklaces? Rings? Bracelets?

Do you worry about them getting scratched or tangled?

Do you look to etailers first when you’re buying something new?

Filed under: Questions — Sarah @ 12:53 pm

When you’re looking for something new, do you look to etailers first, or do you prefer to go to a store where you can get something now?

My husband and I were just talking about getting some new stuff, and I told him I’d like to check on Etsy to see what they had.

It’s kind of odd when I think about it, because I don’t think that I would have thought about Etsy first two years ago.

Of course at the time we did have a local craft mall that sold handmade items, crafts, paintings, and furniture, but it’s been closed for a while now.

I would love it if we still had something like that locally, but the only thing we have that I’m aware of are a couple of boutiques that carry a few handmade soap and toiletry items.

It is kind of wierd to see the Etsy addresses listed on the soaps though.

When you are looking for something new do you look to etailers or other small businesses first, or do you prefer to go somewhere where you can get your stuff cheap and fast, and check it out before you buy it?

Do you wear perfume when you wear scented lotions?

Filed under: Questions — Sarah @ 10:30 am

I’ve noticed that I haven’t been wearing nearly as much perfume since I received my Hoity Toity goodies, and I’ve been wearing scented body lotion and body butter every day.

I don’t think any of the lotions would layer well with my perfume, so I just haven’t been wearing perfume.

I’d rather smell like the lotion.

Do you wear perfume when you wear scented lotions?

Does your perfume match or blend with your lotions if you do?

How long do etailer lotions last?

Filed under: Questions — Sarah @ 11:11 am

Rose asked how long etailer lotions lasted on the Sarah’s Surprises Forums, and since we didn’t get too many responses I told her I’d ask here.

Here’s here post:

“I just opened some lotions from an etailer and I got the dreaded rancid oil scent.

Disgusting

Do etailers lotions usually go bad faster than regular lotions?

I’ve only had this a couple of months, and I have lots of lotions and will be heartbroken if they all go bad before I can use them.”

Have you noticed etailer lotions going bad faster than regular lotions?
