Breast Cancer Awareness Month Giveaway
We’ve got some nice stuff here to giveaway during our Breast Cancer Month Awareness Giveaway, and although all of the products aren’t related to Breast Cancer Awareness, I hope you’ll enjoy them.
Shiner Eyeshadow, a pastel pink mineral shadow from Mixology Makeup was created in honor of Rae’s Grandma, whom she lost to breast cancer.
Mixology is currently donating $1 per item sold to the 1000 wells project.
From The Blue Gecko Candle Company we have a Lavendar Flowers Luxurious Bath Melt. I tried the Cabernet Grape Parfait, and it was wonderful. These aren’t shipped from from March through November because they’ll melt in the Arizona heat, so these are a little blemished, but they still work great.
From Candles By Victoria we have a Mango Smoothie tart. This is a really strong smelling tart - you might not even need to burn it to get a nice throw, although the throw will definitely be stronger if you burn it.
From Jax Candles we have two votives in Mango and Orange, and Mulburry. Mmm, they smell so yummy, and they’re strongly scented for votives.
Also included are samples of Lavender Fields Bar, Lavendar Mint Soap, Strawberry Musk soap (which isn’t listed on the website) from A Woman With Scents.
To enter please leave a comment below telling us why Breast Cancer Awareness is important to you.
The winner will be chosen randomly on October 31, and I’ll email the winner.
If I haven’t heard from the winner by November 7, I’ll draw a new winner.
Thanks - and good luck!

Because it scares. There is so much cancer in my family and at a young age as well. I want everyone to be aware!

My mother is a breast cancer survivor - 22 years; luckily she found hers early. This is why self exams are so important as well as mammograms.

Breast cancer awareness reminds me to do my self exams, check for anything suspicious, and of course go to the dr. and get my mammograms done every couple of years. With busy lives, we often are rushed, hurried, and put things on the back burner for later. I know I am guilty of that. Awareness month reminds me to relax and take time for myself, to check my own health, and make my doctors appt. I also know a few women who are survivors, and it makes me admire their inner strength and determination in their fight to overcome breast cancer. Thanks for reminding me to take time for ME, and contribute to this cause.

It reminds me to have my breast cancer exam every October. It is also a month to give honor to BC survivors.

This past winter I was diagnosed with breast cancer after finding a lump on my own. I just finished my radiation treatment, and I am following up with all my MRI’s, mammograms, sonograms, & doctor’s appointments. I was a classic example of someone who thought that this is something that would ever effect me.

Unfortunately, I lost my Aunt Edna to Breast Cancer several years ago. Since then, I’ve tried to be as conscientious as possible about checking and getting mammograms regularly but I’ve been thoroughly reminded this month why it’s so important and how devastating this disease is and how desperate for a cure this world is. With that being said, I feel obligated to pitch in in whatever small way I can to whoever I can…whether it be by a comment left or a small donation made…and I really commend all you bloggers out there taking the time to give people that extra motivation (i.e. contests, giveaways, etc.) to really take a moment to stop and learn a few things and hopefully contribute in some small way if they’re able…or even just educate themselves so they can protect themselves. Anyway - thats all. Thanks again and good luck everyone!
