Sarah’s Surprises

HollyRose Aromatherapy Lip BalmI love lip balm, and I was really excited when I recieved 3 lip balms in my Lemming Central samper box.

The first one I tried was HollyRose Aromatherapy’s Sweet Orange Lip Balm.

Although the it’s listed as a Sweet Orange, I notice a whiff of chocolate when I first applied the balm, and I still notice it when I use it.

The balm applied easily, is very slick, and leaves my lips feeling soft and moisturized.

The sweet orange (and cocoa scent) is noticeable when I apply the balm, and occassionally for a while afterwards, but it isn’t so noticeable that I feel like I’m walking around smelling my lips all day.

My husband has noticed the scent occassionally, so if you have a significant other who is sensitive to scents be sure to get the unscented version to use when he’s around.

The scent hasn’t interfered with any food or drink I’ve had when I’m using the lip balm. I know it might be wierd, but some stuff I’ve tried affects the taste of my food, and I don’t like that.

The only problem that I’ve had with this lip balm is that it melted when I kept it in my pocket, after I tood it out it hardened up again, and I’m still able to use it, but it’s pretty chilly here in Minnesota, and the temperature in the house was set at 66 the day the balm melted, so it wasn’t overly hot.

I always keep my lip balm in my pocket, and this is the only one I’ve had melt on me when it wasn’t hot outside.

I still like the lip balm, but I don’t use it nearly as much as I would if I could keep it in my pocket.

HollyRose Aromatherapy’s Lip balm comes in three flavors, sweet orange, mighty mint and unscented, and retail for $2.99.

The ingredients listed on the balm are: grapeseed, olive oils, cocoa butter, beeswax & essential oils.

Here’s what they say about their lip balm at HollyRose Aromatherapy:

Don’t let your lips feel left out while you’re pampering the rest of your body. Our all-natural lip balm features cocoa butter, beeswax, vitamin E and tempting essential oils. Soothes dry, chapped lips and is a must-have in cold weather or after a day in the sun
